Signature petition against the construction of a wheelchair ramp on 1 of Curaçao’s most precious beaches! Large Knip

Out of respect to Mother Nature that gave us this beautiful gem of a beach which encounters our culture, the history of our island and locals, we ask you politely but urgently to sign against this gigantic eye sore.

We are not against the idea, which is the construction of a wheelchair ramp to allow disabled people to access the beach, which is a very nice initiative, but this gigantic and ugly piece of non-craftsmanship is damaging our naturally beautiful beach.

This goes against all tourist promotions and sustainable nature conservation actions as there already is an existing road that can be very well transformed into a handicapped accessibility.

By you signing this petition you may help us with the request to remove what is being built and to come up with a more nature friendly solution.

Handtekening petitie tegen de bouw van een rolstoelhelling op de parel van Curaçao, 1 van de mooiste baaien! Groot Knip
 
Uit respect voor moeder natuur die ons dit prachtige juweeltje van een strand heeft geschonken dat onze cultuur en  de geschiedenis van ons eiland en de lokale bevolking waarborgt, vragen we u beleefd maar dringend om te tekenen tegen dit gigantische gedrocht.
 
Wij zijn niet tegen het idee, namelijk de bouw van een rolstoelhelling om mensen met een handicap toegang te geven tot het strand, wat een heel mooi initiatief is, maar dit gigantische en lelijke stuk  niet-vakmanschap bederft ons natuurlijke  prachtige strand.
 
Dit druist in tegen alle toeristische promoties en duurzame natuurbeschermingsacties, aangezien er al een bestaande weg is die heel goed kan worden omgevormd tot een gehandicapte toegankelijkheid.
 
Door het ondertekenen van deze petitie kunt u ons helpen met het verzoek om wat er gebouwd wordt te verwijderen en met een meer natuurvriendelijke oplossing te komen.

Petición de firmas contra la construcción de rampa para silla de ruedas en una de las playas más bellas de
Curacao, Grote Knip.

Por respeto a la Madre Naturaleza que nos regalo esta bella gema de playa que forma parte de nuestra cultura, historia de nuestra isla y de nuestros habitantes. Por eso pedimos para por favor firma esta petición urgentemente, para parar esta acción.

No estamos en contra de la idea, que es el construir esta rampa para facilitarle a las personas deshabilitadas
su visita a esta playa que en realidad es una muy buena iniciativa, pero la manera en que sé esta ejecutando esta idea no es la correcta, poniendo una base extremadamente grande que no permite apreciar la belleza de esta playa. Esto no cuadra con las promociones y/o imagen turística pero especialmente no cuadra con la mantencion de la naturaleza que tanto defendemos.

La construcción de esta rampa si debe de ser posible, pero sin afectar la belleza natural de esta gema. Es importante mencionar que esto si es posible, ya como hay una via/camino existente que fácilmente se puede transformar en una via especial para personas deshabilitadas.

Firmando esta petición, nos estarías ayudando a pedir que paren la construcción de este ‘puente’ y poner en marcha una construcción que no afecte tanto a nuestra naturaleza y ya así podremos mantener y proteger el bonito medio ambiente que la madre naturaleza nos ha regalado
