Every day thousands of dogs are kept in inhumane conditions where they are force bred. Puppy mills often get away with what they do, so let’s change that. SD 2459 previously tried to be passed but failed. We want to try again with a few changes. We would like to make changes SD 2459. Under the first attempt it stated an initial inspection of the premises is required after purchasing a license. However we would like to make it so that annual inspections at random are required to ensure proper conditions are being maintained. We also look to increase the fine for violating license requirements from $500 to $1000 and offenders will face up to a year in jail.
