The Kansas City Chiefs have won the super bowl for the first time in 50 years!! This calls for a celebration, which is actually happening in Kansas City on Wednesday, February 5th. There will be a parade, in Kansas City, to honor the players and the amazing city we live in. In order to allow all Kansas State students and faculty to be able to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity, I believe that Kansas State should cancel classes. Us students care about our classes and don’t want to have to skip, but we also don’t want to miss this opportunity to celebrate our amazing city and team! K-State promotes a family atmosphere, which is exactly what we would get if we were able to come together with our city and celebrate this occasion. Not to mention, there is also a K-State alumni on the Chiefs team, Byron Pringle, who deserves to have his fellow wildcats there to support him on his great accomplishment! Canceling class is the best way to make everyone happy!
