The Hays Kansas, City Comissioners have recently approved a major revision to Route 183/ Vine St. from just North of the Westbound I-70 off ramp, south to the intersection of Vine St. and 27th St. The revision will modify the existing corridor with 4 " round-a-bouts " There seems to be thought among the commissioners that, this will increase traffic flow in the affected area. With little consequence to business traffic. While to the business owners along the corridor think it will reduce "business" traffic flow greatly. The commissioners approved this revision without a popular vote and has taken the attitude that it is their decision even without voter approval. The modification will in fact severly reduce access to the business' located along that corridor, as well as making a simple thoroughfare,  a myriad of traffic flow problems. The revision can be brought to a vote by the public if we have enough petition signatures by Aug. 28, 2018
