This is why KSD 111's athletic programs must be guided by leaders who not only have extensive experience but are also deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for a diverse student body. It is not the time to entrust this significant responsibility to individuals who lack the experience and vision required for steering a vibrant and diverse athletic community.

We urge the relevant authorities to consider hiring Kurt Weigt to lead our athletic program temporarily. Coach Weigt brings extensive experience and strong leadership, which are essential to maintaining and improving our programs. He is well-versed in managing a large, diverse population of student-athletes, coaches, and community members, making him ideal for this critical transitional period.  Coach Weigt's credentials:

• Certified Master Athletic Administrator
• Highest Designation by the National Interscholastic Athletic Association
• Served on IHSA Legislative Commission- several terms
• Committee member of the NIAAA- representing 6 states
• district rep for IADA0Illinois Athletic Director Association
• IADA- Executive Board 
• IADA Faculty
• 25 years of administrative experience; 8 as an Athletic Administrator
