Houston Independent School District is attempting to close down Kandy Stripe Academy. Kandy Stripe is a family oriented charter school with ties to the community. Kandy Stripe’s smaller classes allowed teachers to really focus on the needs of their students. Closing this school would devastate the community forcing our kids into overcrowded schools.
