Plastic bags are polluting our oceans, killing both marine and land animals, they release toxic chemicals into our soil, and clog our sewers. They are difficult to recycle and are typically only used once or twice. For these reasons and many others, I support a bylaw to ban the use of plastic checkout bags in Kamloops, BC.
