Amendment to Petition Title February 8th, 2016: HubPages, TatRing.com, PetHelpful.com (and other websites controlled directly or indirectly by Paul Edmondson et al.) Authors are Entitled to All Earnings and Removal of Content (Including Their Author Content) Since the revised Terms of Use (TOU) and Privacy Policy on HubPages: http://hubpages.com/help/privacy_policy_2016_02_09 states: "9. Changes and Updates We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, add or remove portions of this policy at any time by posting such changes to this page. Such changes will be effective UPON posting." That means, there is NO advance notice of ANY changes to the HubPages policy. [I cannot italicize text on petition updates, so I've used all caps for emphasis.] When I investigated the ICANN WHOIS info for the two new sites, it seemed "incomplete" (at least to me). RE: No names, just a P.O. Box, and some "Whois Privacy Service" is quoted. RE: https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=TatRing.com RE: https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=PetHelpful.com As mentioned in this InfoBarrel forum thread: http://www.infobarrel.com/forum-topic.php?id=13406 "The obvious ethical difference here is that InfoBarrel is letting writers know well in advance before content is moved. Plus, InfoBarrel doesn't ask for SSNs and "current" tax info. And if the nosedive in Quantcast traffic data is any indication (for HubPages), content was moved en masse (without ANY writer knowing about it)." It's baffling that ANY site owner would allow their US Rank to slide from 104 to 345 (without reason). And there were no solid answers given from HubPages staff in their forum either: http://hubpages.com/community/forum/134940/quantcast-embedded-code-messed-up-somehow One concern I have is that Paul Edmondson et al. will dump or sell the HubPages domain (without notice) in order to avoid the authorities (like the Federal Trade Commission) or even to avoid answering to my petition. Hence, the change in title (and this petition update). I've also decided to include the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) in this petition, since I suspect these two sites (TatRing.com and PetHelpful.com) are just a distraction while HubPages sells off "all collected information as part of a merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control." Remember, they state: "In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy or similar situation, we may not be able to control how your information is treated, transferred, or used." What bothers me the most is that this is prime season for tax identity theft. Too much has been hidden, massive amounts of content has been moved already, and only two completely unrelated sites have been offered up. Another InfoBarrel author mentioned: "It's funny but the first thing I did when I read the announcement was look up the registrar info on the two sites and I was surprised by cloaking just as you were. They did that to make it impossible for anyone to have found them earlier. If they had registered them under HubPages or the names of one of the owners then anybody who keeps tabs on their activities could have seen what they were up to by snooping in the right places." Source: http://www.infobarrel.com/forum-topic.php?id=13406 On another note, I'm baffled by what happened when I made identical posts on both Facebook and Google Plus: In this Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/rose.webster.39/posts/863307330461447?pnref=story my links go to the appropriate places. But on Google Plus (where I simply copy and pasted the same update): https://plus.google.com/u/0/107889574670988423996/posts/ZT8Q6zLE9qa my links get redirected to HubPages.com (their home page). Now, I am feeling as though Google or HubPages is hampering my effort to get the truth out. (Yet another reason why the FTC and ICANN are being notified of this update). Lastly, if you have information regarding possible violations of state or federal statutes, rules, or regulations, or violations of fiduciary responsibility by Paul Edmondson et al. (RE: HubPages Inc., TatRing.com, PetHelpful.com, and others), call the California State Attorney General’s Whistleblower Hotline at 1-800-952-5225. And if the Federal Trade Commission pursues my case (accepted on April 9th, 2015: REFERENCE NO: 61039505), I want half of the monies recovered to benefit the residents of Flint, Michigan. Addendum: If emails are bounced back from the FTC or ICANN, I will submit this update on their forms. I'll be in touch, Rose
