The San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society let me know that they had "not received Squidoo donations for several years." I detailed my response to them in my last petition update. Fortunately, the San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society (a no-kill shelter that has rescued and found loving homes for over 8,000 homeless and/or suffering dogs and cats for over 9 years) wrote back to me stating: "Hi, Rose, Thank you for your work on this. We signed." San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society: http://www.slvaws.org These are the people (along with the writers) who put their trust in what Squidoo promised to do with our earnings. We were all sorely let down and deceived. In this August 21st, 2014 InfoBarrel forum thread: http://www.infobarrel.com/forum-topic.php?id=12140&page=5 I made my wishes perfectly clear: "My work is not Seth's to sell. And, for the entire time that my lenses [articles] are online, I am also earning money for Squidoo (I didn't have an affiliate account like I do now). Foolishly, I split 50 - 50 with Squidoo (since I liked the idea of half benefiting charity)." Another charity got back to me today and let me know that they had "never received any money." I wonder what Seth Godin and Paul Edmondson are/were doing with the money that was supposed to benefit over 200 charities, don't you? Hopefully, we'll get to the bottom of this. Take good care, Rose
