Petition updatePaul Edmondson: Writers are Entitled to ALL Earnings, Removal of Content & Author ContentHubPages Mantra vs. The Facts

Rose WebsterMilton, Canada
Dec 4, 2015
Each time the HubPages' mantra "she can always log on and delete her articles" is repeated, I am reminded of the numerous lies Squidoo authors were fed. I documented them in: http://www.infobarrel.com/HubPages_and_Squidoo_the_Lies_Youve_Been_Told
In a most incriminating InfoBarrel forum thread, http://www.infobarrel.com/forum-topic.php?id=12140&page=5 Dancingqueen (who later admitted to being Marisa Wright on HubPages) answers Jonathan Nielsen's question:
TanoCalvenoa (Jonathan Nielsen) asked: "I wonder though if they're not moved (if the "transfer" button wasn't clicked), if the lenses [articles] will be deleted and just disappear"
Dancingqueen responds: "They won't be deleted, but when the site closes down the site closes down - so they will disappear."
Scroll down further and Dancingqueen repeats: "Would people prefer that Squidoo did what Helium, Today.com and many others did - just close down and let all your articles disappear?"
I responded: "Actually yes, I would prefer that. My work is not Seth's to sell. And, for the entire time that my lenses [articles] are online, I am also earning money for Squidoo (I didn't have an affiliate account like I do now). Foolishly, I split 50 - 50 with Squidoo (since I liked the idea of half benefiting charity)."
The date on these posts were August 21st, 2014 (10 days prior to the end of the month – when I attempted to delete my Squidoo account and all of my articles).
It was September 13th, 2014 that HubPages sent me an automated email, which I reported for phishing http://www.infobarrel.com/Media/Reported_First_Email_From_HubPages_to_Google_For_Phishing that my work had been imported. HubPages and Squidoo staff were fully aware of my wishes PRIOR to the end of August 2014.
Yet THEY chose to steal my work, profile (my identity), photos, and videos anyways.
Naturally, I'm upset about my financial loss. But even more upsetting to me is learning that ALL the money earmarked for charity (from work like mine) is being pocketed by HubPages Inc.
I am in the process of writing to the following charities to garner up support for my (our) Change.org petition:

Can you imagine how much money Paul Edmondson et al. is keeping from over 200 charities?? And he's a millionaire, I believe.
If you are aware of any other charities who are no longer receiving donations from former Squidoo articles, please let me know. I will write to them as well.
Lastly, whether we have 30, 300, or 30,000 signatures doesn't matter. Vulnerable people (and those with no spare money to fight this) have clearly been taken advantage of.
In the very least, unfair and deceptive business practices were at the heart of this Squidoo - HubPages deal.
I have every faith that California's Attorney General, Kamala Harris, will get to the root of this and justice will be served. If you have any information that could help our case, please call the California State Attorney General’s Whistleblower Hotline at 1-800-952-5225.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Rose
