Kamala Harris; Expel the Islamic Republic Officials
The Issue
To the Vice President of the United States and the administration,
Dear Madam Vice President Kamala Harris,
People of Iran are dying in the streets, fighting for Women, Life, Freedom. We Iranians are currently facing a crisis that poses danger to our families and loved ones. And we are calling for action to support the “Iranian Revolution” currently unfolding.
To briefly describe the situation:
On September 13, 2022, the Iranian Morality Police detained Mahsa Amini for not adhering to the dress code imposed by the Islamic Republic (mandatory hijab). Later that day, she was taken to the hospital because of the injuries she had sustained under the custody of the Iranian Morality Police. She passed away on September 16, 2022 in the intensive care unit because of injuries to her brain. Since September 17, 2022, the people of Iran have been in the streets protesting the murder of Mahsa and the systematic violations of human rights by Iran’s current regime, the Islamic Republic. The people of Iran have been opposing this undemocratic regime through years of peaceful protests and met violence and often, bullets in response. Nearly a hundred (and counting) have been killed since Mahsa Amini’s death alone. Though the Islamic Republic has tried to censor its atrocities by shutting down the internet and jailing journalists, the global community has responded with an outpouring of support for Iranian women and the community at large. Chants of “Woman. Life. Freedom.” can be heard from Iran to the United States, and throughout Europe and Australia. So far, the hashtags #مهسا_امینی and #MahsaAmini have been retweeted more than 200 million times.
The oppression of Iranian women and other minorities is systematic in the Islamic Republic. Just to mention but a few, United Nations reports:
“Blatant discrimination exists in Iranian law and practice that must change. In several areas of their lives, including in marriage, divorce, employment, and culture, Iranian women are either restricted or need permission from their husbands or paternal guardians, depriving them of their autonomy and human dignity. These constructs are completely unacceptable and must be reformed now”.
What was initially sparked in Iran, has turned into a global movement for defending Women's Rights, the right to a Dignified Life, and the right of Freedom from Religious Autocracy. The Islamic Republic who has occupied Iran for more than four decades and has been the pinnacle of terror and Islamic Extremism is using the wealth of people of Iran, to spread hate and violence against anyone who does not abide by their ideology. On the forefront of Islamic Republic victims are non-Muslims and the LGBTQ community of Iran who are in constant oppression and are treated violently and even sentenced to death! Only last month, two gay women have been sentenced to execution by the Islamic Republic judiciary system. Staying silent about these atrocities means giving this anti-human regime a free ticket to continue the systematic violation of human rights. To name a few: oppressing women, jailing and executing LGBTQ people, and killing peaceful protests in Iran.
The people Iran have the following expectation from the administration of the United States:
- Cut all diplomatic ties with the Islamic Republic:
1.1 Closing the Interest Section of Islamic Republic in Washington D.C.
1.2 Expulsion of all employees of the Interest Section
1.3 Removal of all Islamic Regime supporters, including NIAC - Stop legitimizing the anti-human Islamic Republic regime, and recognize the Iranian’s revolution in rejecting the Islamic Republic and forming a democratic government based on human rights
- Immediately put an end to the nuclear deal negotiations with the illegitimate Islamic Republic regime
As the first female vice president in the history of the United States, we urge you to support the Iranian revolution, led by the brave women of Iran, and supported by the global community all around the world. Madam Vice President, your silence and inaction means supporting the killers of people in the streets of Iran who are fighting for women, for life, and for freedom.
It is up to you to show the world the American government will always be at the forefront of human rights; and will take necessary actions to save human lives.

مردم ایران در طول چهار دهه اخیر، از سال ۱۹۷۹، درحال مبارزه با خشونت های جنسی مثل حجاب اجباری بودند و در طی دو هفته ی اخیر برای خواسته های بر حقشان مانند آزادی بیان و حق انتخاب مبارزه کرده و کشته میشوند و این مبارزه با عنوان «زن، زندگی، آزادی» شهرت جهانی پیدا کرده است. بحرانی که جمهوری اسلامی برای مردم ایجاد کرده است خانواده ها و دوستان ما را در معرض خطر جانی قرار داده است و ما از شما تقاضا داریم که در این شرایط بحرانی که حتی جان کودکان زیر ۱۶ سال هم در خطر است، از انقلاب مردم ایران حمایت کنید.
خلاصه ی وضعیت فعلی:
در تاریخ ۲۲ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ پلیس گشت ارشاد ایران مهسا امینی را برای "پوشش نامناسب" دستگیر کرد. کمی بعد در همان روز او بر اثر ضربات پلیس دچار ضربه ی مغزی شده و به بیمارستان منتقل میشود. مهسا پس از انتقال به بیمارستان، کمتر از دوروز، درگذشت. برای اطلاعات بیشتر میتوانید به این مقاله از نیویورک تایمز رجوع کتید:

از ۲۵ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ مردم ایران به خیابانها آمده اند و به قتل مهسا امینی اعتراض کردند. قتلی که نتیجه ی مستقیم عدم رعایت حقوق بشر به شکل سازماندهی شده توسط رژیم فعلی ایران، جمهوری اسلامی بود.
مردم ایران در چهار دهه ی اخیر مخالفت خود را با حکومت غیر دموکراتیک جمهوری اسلامی از طریق اعتراضات مسالمت آمیز نشان داده اند. اما پاسخ اعتراضات مدنی آنها با خشونت (گلوله، شکنجه، زندان) داده شده است. فقط از زمان قتل مهسا امینی حداقل ۱۵۰ نفر از هموطنان ما کشته شده اند. علیرغم اینکه جمهوری اسلامی سعی میکند این جنایات را با قطعی اینترنت و دستگیری خبرنگاران سانسور کند، ولی جامعه ی جهانی از طیف های گسترده حمایت خود را از اعتراضات زنان ایرانی و آزادی خواهی مردم ایران اعلام کرده است. شعار «زن، زندگی، آزادی» از ایران تا ایالات متحده، ازاروپا تا استرالیا شنیده میشود. تا کنون، هشتگ های #مهسا_امینی و #MahsaAmini بیش از ۲۰۰ میلیون بار ریتوییت شده اند.
جمهوری اسلامی طی چهار دهه اخیر به شکل سازماندهی شده ای سرکوب زنان و اقلیت ها در ایران را انجام میدهد. به عنوان یک نمونه ی کوچک، این گزارش سازمان ملل میگوید:
"تبعیض های به شدت هویدا در قوانین و برخوردها در ایران بر علیه زنان وجود دارد که باید تغییر کنند. این تبعیض ها در بخش های مختلف زندگی زنان از جمله ازدواج، طلاق، استخدام، و فرهنگ وجود دارد. زنان ایرانی در این موارد یا شامل محدودیت بوده یا نیازمند اجازه از شوهر یا قیم قانونی هستند. این محدودیت ها زنان ایرانی را از خودمختاری و کرامت انسانی محروم میکند. این ساختارها کاملا غیرقابل قبول هستند و باید بازسازی شوند."
انقلابی که جرقه اش در ایران خورده، تبدیل به یک جنبش جهانی شده که در حال مبارزه برای حقوق زنان، حق یک زندگی شرافتمندانه، و حق رهایی از حکومت مذهبی میباشد. جمهوری اسلامی که بیش از چهار دهه ی پیش ایران را اشغال کرد، امروز سرمنشا تروریسم جهانی است. جمهوری اسلامی از سرمایه های مردم ایران استفاده میکند تا تنفر و خشونت بر علیه هرکسی که اعتقاداتش مخالف با آنهاست را ترویج کند. در خط مقدم قربانی های جمهوری اسلامی، غیرمسلمانان و اعضای جامعه LGBTQ هستند که در سرکوب مداوم به سر میبرند. این سرکوب ها شامل رفتار خشونت آمیز، تبعیض تحصیلی، مصادره ی اموال، و حتی حکم اعدام میشود. فقط در ماه گذشته، دو فعال حقوق LGBTQ توسط قوه ی قضاییه جمهوری اسلامی به اعدام محکوم شدند. سکوت در برابر این جنایات به معنای نشان دادن چراغ سبزی به این رژیم ضدبشری است تا به نقض سیستماتیک حقوق بشر ادامه دهد. به عنوان مثال: سرکوب زنان، زندانی کردن و اعدام اعضای جامعه LGBTQ، و کشتن مردم عادی در خیابان ها.
مردم ایران توقعات ذیل را از دولت امریکا دارند:
۱- قطع تمام روابط دیپلماتیک با جمهوری اسلامی
۱.۱- بستن دفتر حافظ منافع جمهوری اسلامی در واشنگتن دی.سی.
۱.۲- اخراج تمام کارکنان دفتر حافظ منافع
۱.۳- اخراج تمام حامیان جمهوری اسلامی، از جمله نایاک، اخراج خانواده های مقامات جمهوری اسلامی
۲- توقف مشروعیت بخشی به این رژیم ضدبشری، و به رسمیت شناختن انقلاب مردم ایران که خواهان پس زدن جمهوری اسلامی و تشکیل یک حکومت دموکراتیک بر پایه ی حقوق بشرهستند.
۳- پایان بی چون و چرای مذاکرات هسته ای با این رژیم نامشروع
به عنوان اولین زن معاون رییس جمهور تاریخ امریکا، ما از شما خواستاریم که از انقلاب مردم ایران، که به رهبری زنان شجاع ایرانی شروع شده است حمایت نمایید. انقلابی که اکنون با حمایت بین المللی در سراسر جهان روبرو شده است.
