We demand that Kaiser South Sacramento implement a mandatory masking policy for all patients and employees. 

Reasons for Mandatory Masking:

• COVID-19 is highly contagious
• COVID-19 can be spread by asymptomatic carriers
• Sacramento has seen a significant spike in COVID-19 cases in June
• Due to a high number of asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19, it is difficult for health care professionals to identify who has COVID-19 and who doesn't
• A recent study backed by the World Health Organization found that wearing masks could stop the spread of COVID-19 by up to 80%
•  A majority of hospitals in Sacramento have instituted mandatory masking including UCD, Sutter, Dignity, and the VA. 
• The only hospitals in Sacramento who does not have mandatory masking is Kaiser South Sacramento and Kaiser Sacramento.
