Give Evie the life-saving surgery she needs

At just three years of age, Evangeline Burror has already beaten more odds than most people face in a lifetime.
She survived being born a girl in rural China.
She survived abandonment at birth.
She survived substandard foster care for the first year of her life.
Unlike most children in her position, Evie was adopted by a family in California who not only wanted to adopt a child but actually requested a child with special needs, knowing that they could give her support that most other people could or would never commit to.
But now, having faced all this and prevailed, Evie's wellbeing is in the hands of a health insurer who would rather take the easy and cheap choice, rather than the one most likely to save her life.
Evie has just been diagnosed with Moyamoya, a very, very rare progressive cerebrovascular disease. The disease means the arteries to her brain are closing over, and she has already suffered mini-strokes as a result.
A major - potentially fatal - stroke might happen at any moment.
Evie could be treated by the world expert in her disease, who practices just two hours from her home. But Kaiser wants her neurosurgery to be performed by a surgeon from their network, one who has performed a less successful, riskier operation just 20 times in his career.
Please sign this petition so that we can pressure Kaiser into doing the right thing, and saving the life of a child who has already faced more than any child should have to.
Thank you, from Evie and everyone who loves her and her family.
