The city council spends thousands of euros of our taxes on mistreating animals, when the vast majority of the population does not attend because they completely reject it. It also allows El Baret to set up this venue to promote mistreatment. We want El Baret, but without bulls!

Bous a la mar and Bous al Carrer: torture disguised as culture and tradition.

They are another of many bullfights in which abuse is more than evident: blows, pulls, sticks, kicks, insults, humiliation, stress, etc. towards these noble animals.

Also, let's remember that ruminants are not used to running and don't know how to swim. Exhausted and suffocated, they fall into the water and many drown.

In the bullfights, the interests of the animals are not looked at. Ranchers trade them, renting them out so that people who attend the event mistreat them.

These attendees are often drunk or under the influence of drugs, many are also injured. There is no control

Children can witness all this barbarism from the stands. Is this what we want to teach our children?

Some minors sneak into the plaza and end up injured as well.

Please, Jávea City Council, take into account the requests of the majority of the  Jávea population, because we finally want to end the bullfighting: Bous a la Mar and Bous al Carrer. We want events where everyone, children and adults, can enjoy without having to mistreat animals.

There are alternatives that have already been implemented in other towns to transition to parties without animal cruelty: running with giant balls, running with people dressed as inflatable bulls, etc.

We are willing to meet with the department of culture and festivities to propose party ideas that include all the citizens of Jávea and tourists, to finally change to parties that the vast majority really like and are suitable for everyone. Interesting events that can even sponsor and subsidize brands, attracting healthy tourism to the town.

Here we sign in this petition our desire to evolve as a town and leave behind animal abuse, just as many other towns have done from which we should take an example.
