This is in regards to the Exemption Form for emergency travel that was discontinued from the Air Suvidha portal in October 2021.

The option of exemption was extremely helpful to many non-resident Indians, especially in the case of the death of an immediate relative. A large number of people, however, are left in a helpless situation since exemption forms have been removed from the portal, which has mandated that international passengers must declare themselves on Air Suvidha, which also requires submission of a negative PCR certificate taken within 72 hours of departure. Owing to the third outbreak of Covid-19 across the globe, the PCR procedure and the result usually takes longer hours these days.

As a community organization, we receive a lot of requests on a daily basis for assistance with travel issues, mostly in the event of the  death of immediate family members.
In view of the above, we request you to kindly reinstate the exemption form on the Air Suvidha portal as soon as possible.
