There is no denying that the State of Michigan share many bonds. These bonds are so strong that the people of Michigan have more in common with Canadians that they do with Americans, there is even a nickname of Michigan "Canada's daughter". Besides this, there are still many reasons why Michigan should join Canada. In this election, the United States will have to choose between Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Both of these candidates are awful and if we join Canada we will have Justin Trudeau as our leader, someone who is stable and knows what they are doing. The second reason is the environment. Michigan has one of the most beautiful shorelines in the world. We have four out of the five great lakes. The USA is lacking in environmental laws. However, Canada is a leader in protecting the environment, so if you want to protect Michigan's precious coastline and our beautiful lakes, then joining Canada will be our best option. The third reason is crime. Detroit is one of the most dangerous cities in the USA. If you look at Canada you'll see that they have a very low crime rate and we have a better chance of fixing Detroit's crime problem by joining Canada. And also, the most important issue, Flint. The situation in Flint, Michigan is absolutely disgusting. An entire city was poisoned and the US government has done nothing about it. The US government clearly doesn't care about us and we are better off leaving them and joining the great nation of Canada. Canada is also a leader in healthcare and many Michigan residents cannot get or afford the medical attention they need because of the USA's horrible healthcare. So, as you can see Michigan is much better off joining Canada. Thank you.
