Trudeau and others in the Liberal government have decided to use the recent Nova Scotia shooting tragedy as an opportunity to push a campaign against Guns, specifically legal and registered handguns since they would rather focus on banning them from law abiding citizens than taking care of the growing and problematic trend of gun smuggling at our borders. What happened in Nova Scotia was a terrible thing and we do need to do our best to prevent those events from happening, But it is crucial to understand that the weapons which were used in this mass shooting came across the U.S Canada border, not from a Canadian firearms store. In fact the shooter didn't even have a firearms license. Now assault rifles are one thing, but when you ban handguns and ignore our problem at the border you are only making the people who need a lightweight way of protecting them and their family from dangerous animals suffer and giving Canadians a false sense of hope and security. The people with guns you need to worry about are not the ones who have licenses and obtain them legally, they are the ones who buy blackmarket (often untraceable) guns from smugglers coming across our borders. So please sign this petition and show your friends and family, Because what Trudeau is doing is wrong and he is not doing right by our country.
