Although the Canada Commercial Seal Hunt is once again underway that still does not stop the outrage, pressure, protest and awareness being rapidly increased in order to get this hunt banned permanently. Individuals and Organizations worldwide, are still working tirelessly and determined to make the changes that are desperately needed, and continue to gain countless support and aid in order to fulfill their goal -- however, it appears that even with great number of voices and protest, much of the Canadian Government & political figures will not budge from their stand upon this cruel and dying industry -- and that leads many to question WHY???? We at Raise Ur Paw have sent out countless emails to political figures Canada-wide, and even attempted to make connection via telephone with no response on the issue that we wanted to bring to their attention, and that is the issues/concerns that this seal hunt has upon the population of seals, and how it is becoming a serious threat (along with other threats) against this population of life. We are truly hoping that with this petition, and the amount of support and information upon the concerns/issues, the Canadian Government will observe, acknowledge and bring forth an end to this massacre of life and dying industry.
