With the amount of support that we have been attracting with this petition, we believe that such support should go further then just signing your name... it should be about going to the extent of raising awareness, opening eyes of the world to the barbaric nature of this commercial seal hunt, an urgency that we all must be part of. How can we as humanity stand for such a cruel hunt of innocent life, considering that we would not stand for the human race to endure such brutality... to threaten and destroy a species for mere profit, fur, seal oil and other products that come from this inhumanity?? and not to mention the millions of dollars of taxpayers money going to fund this dying industry... especially when such funds can be distributed to more valuable and beneficial purposes ( medical, education, etc.) The Canadian Government desperately needs to listen to the voices of not only its people, but individuals and organizations worldwide that are pleading and urging them to make the right choice and stop this hunt before it is too late to rectify the situation at hand, and we endanger or bring to extinction this life that is already being threatened by other threats. It is time that we should all acknowledge and fight against the issues and inhumanity that is also happening in our own backyards - shining the light of awareness and becoming supportive role-models for other individuals in making a stand for the animal species as well, and unifying such individuals in being one strong and empowering voice to make that change that we all want to see in the world - not just for us, but for future generations as well. We are requesting everyone to please share the word, write, email or phone Canadian Government Officials and share your voice with them on your concerns and your stand against Canada's Commercial Seal Hunt.
