Ground Trawling is a huge issue because it is causing fish to be overfished and the salmon population is suffering. If we continue along this path, the salmon are in great danger of going extinct. Believe it or not, the world depends on salmon. Salmon are the main food source of many species in the ocean, so if they were to go extinct there would be a butterfly effect, and animals like whales and orcas would most likely follow the salmon's path. Having marine life in the sea causes carbon sequestration, which is a process that slows down carbon emissions. Carbon emissions are one of the greenhouse gasses, to simplify greenhouse gasses, they let sunlight enter the Earth's atmosphere and don't let it leave, causing the Earth to warm up.
