Animals are an important part of our daily lives whether we have pets or not. I believe it is high time we ensure our pets and otherwise have the same rights as us bipedal animals have. It is unfair that pets and shelter animals get out down for maladies that could be cured if people are willing to throw mountains of cash that they don’t necessarily have or don’t have access to at a problem to make it go away. Our Canadian healthcare system works for humans, why not implement the same system for our four legged/winged friends. Vets get paid the same, and we only pay for non essential services and medication.
