Did you know 400 out of 618 Indigenous communities in Canada are endangered by bad water? Many communities don’t have drinkable water in their homes because of bacteria and toxins in the water. This crisis is ongoing because of dysfunctional water treatment systems as well as companies dumping toxins into water sources. This petition is about the Indigenous water crisis and how it affects tons of Indigenous people all over Canada. Justin Trudeau made a promise that by 2021 the water crisis would be over but today hundreds of thousands of Indigenous communities still don’t have drinkable water. We have to stand up and call the government out for moving too slowly on this issue. Everyone deserves access to clean drinking water!
