I'm asking everyone to sign a petition to make it for The Pit Bull band to be lifted in Ontario. I'm standing up to say it isn't right that everyone else can have any kind of animal they want without being effected. But the minute someone with a pit bull appears, everyone is horrified. They think they are killer dogs. They attack just because that's what they are made for. For everyone who hasn't done there research on the breed or has never owned the breed. They are emaculat. They are beautiful and strong hearted. They absolutely LOVE children and are very loyal. If you have health problems and own a pit bull you'd be surprised to see the outcome. They are known to help the blind, the deaf, the parapolegics, the handicap, epileptic, diabetic, I could go on. These dogs have an excellent nack for spotting out illness and finding a way to help with it and if they cannot help they understand how to get help. With this breed, it's not about the animal it's about the owner and how they raise and command as well as train the dog. There is many many ways to train dogs and make them well behaved. If you don't know anything about the breed, then maybe it's not the dog for you. People that don't know about the breed and get one, are the people making it worse for the ones that have one and keep them near and dear to there hearts. If you don't know much about the breed. More then likely your not going to be able to train it properly, or care for it properly. Which is why I cannot stress it enough if you don't know them don't get them. The ones that do this are the ones ruining it for the people that know better, the people that take there time and do there research. Just one person could mess it up for a million. I grew up being raised with a pit bull and a Rotwiler and I couldn't be more disappointed now then I was back then. That I had to get rid of my pit bull and still till this day am legally not allowed a new one. I think this pit bull band is outrageous and has to have something done about it. I understand if people were asked to muzzle there pit bulls and always leash them. But to band them from Ontario is far fetch. Something needs to be done about this. If your going to band one breed, you mise well have band them all. It's only fair.
