- The health of our Canadian citizens and residents remains at risk due to the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic.
- As part of a comprehensive strategy in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, keeping the Canada/USA border closed will allow Canada to gain time to further implement effective preparedness measures and prevent a further strain on healthcare resources.
- Despite a US surge in coronavirus cases, President Trump recently vocalized his intention to abandon stringent public-health measures to combat and control the coronavirus outbreak by re-opening the country by mid-April.
- We, the undersigned, Citizens (or residents) of Canada, call upon the Prime Minister to Protect the health of Canadians by keeping the Canada/USA border closed to prevent the risk of further transmission of the coronavirus into Canada.
