Dear Prime Minister Trudeau, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Minister of Health Hajdu, Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam and members of parliament. 

A large percentage of Canadians have been left with ongoing, chronic disabling conditions brought on by COVID-19 infections. For these people day to day life has become a serious struggle. Many can barely stand up for more than a few minutes at a time without being left incapacitated for days. We are asking for a special CERB / CRB extension or some other benefit specifically for self employed or contract workers who have been left incapacitated and unable to care for themsleves by this virus and do not qualify for any other government assistance programs which can meet their basic living expenses. We are asking that this benefit should continue until doctors can figure out what is going on with those suffering from this new phenomenon and provide an effective treatment to get them back on their feet and able to support themselves again.
