Change the laws against carrying self defence weapons in Canada

The Issue

Everyday people are going missing. Young Canadian girls from all over this country. We see it on Facebook and social media platforms every single day. Nobody seems to be doing anything about it. Even the police. We are all capable of more than just sharing a missing girls post on Facebook. But why don’t we take action? Why do we think some one else will do it. Leave it up to them, our lives are too busy. It’s sad but it’s true. I want to start a petition because I’m scared. Most low income people can’t afford to go to self defence classes. We are all too busy working trying to pay our bills. And why is it that mostly indigenous and young girls are going missing everyday? Nobody to help. The biggest issue I see is that we are legally not allowed to carry concealed self defence weapons. A taser or pepper spray could save someone’s life. How much damage could one of those do to someone in the public who was trying to abduct a young girl versus the young girl going missing and murdered. Gone from their families forever. We need to change this law. Nobody can protect you from the evils in this world better than yourself. Please let’s start looking into this more. I want to feel safe and not see people go missing everyday.
We really are all affected by this. If we can’t catch the attackers we should be at least able to have a fighting chance at getting away from them. In order to buy these self defence tools it could be mandatory to have a lesson how to use them, so if it does go into the wrong hands and something happens that person will get charged with improper use. I also think it would be awesome to implement self defence classes into all of our education. Everyone should know a few self defence moves to protect ourselves from attackers. Please feel free to share if you agree and sign the petition. Donations aren’t needed. Thank you!
