Canada's disabled veterans deserve to KEEP their MONEY!
The Issue
Canada takes more than it gives in disabled veteran's benefits!
That is simply unfair. Here is what happens, if they have these three so called "benefits:"
They get Canada Pension Plan, say $1,000 per month.
They had the Canadian Forces pension, say $1,500 per month.
They had the Canadian Forces' Service Income Support Insurance Plan (SISIP), say $1,000.
The CPPD is non-indemnity & contributory a fancy way of saying it cannot be TAKEN by anyone.
Add to that the fact that Parliament place immunity laws in effect to protect the long-term financial security of the veteran.
The Canadian Forces pension is reduced by $500 for example & Service Income Support Insurance Plan went down by $1,000.
Therefore the disabled veteran got $1,000 & lost $1,500! In what universe is this FAIR? The correct way is to get them ALL.
They are all bought & paid for, a common law precedent going back to 1875.
Therefore, it is good public policy to get what you paid for. If not the insurer, the Canadian Forces, gets to pocket the premium without risk!
Last point, it may seem unfair to get all of these without clawbacks. That would be shortsighted. All of these are PROPERTY. They were EARNED, not given.
That is the heart of democracy, the Right to own property. As they are EARNED, but they take them, they are stealing from a disabled veteran.
Can you think of a worse crime than taking money from the veteran that was disabled DEFENDING his' nation?
