DESPERATE TIMES, DESPERATE MEASURES
PLEASE, PLEASE! SHARE IF YOU AGREE

Hello,
I am a Canadian Citizen stranded in Lima - Peru, like many other Canadians. I rescued two street cats while working for a Canadian ONG in Peru. These cats were abused, I am all they trust and know. I have all the necessary documentation in order for my pets to travel and I have paid their space in my original Air Canada flight.

I do understand that our gouvernement is doing everything they can to bring all Canadians home. However, many Canadians abroad have animals and we are desperate to bring our furry babies home as well.

The Canadian Embassy in Peru is saying that Air Canada WILL NOT ALLOW ANIMALS on any of the Humanitarian flights that their team is currently coordinating with the Peruvian Government that are leaving this week.

Our dogs and cats are not just animals, THEY ARE FAMILY. They need us and we need them. NO ONE SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND INCLUDING ANIMALS.

If this measure is not possible, many of us will be forced to consider abandoning them as placing them in animal shelters is difficult at this point with the current gouvernement measures in place OR  we will be forced to remain here without having a place to stay or enough financial ressources to be here for an undetermined time, all of which may affect our personal security.

Please allow us to bring our furry babies home, we feel desperate not to know when or if we will ever see them again.

Thank so much and please stay safe.
