Due to COVID-19 breakout, people have lost their jobs and life savings, people have been ordered to stay home or work from home. This has obviously caused increased consumption of electricity by household members during the days. However, the BC Hydro has done nothing during this tough time to help its customers and they continue to charge Step 2 Rate for using more electricity. This must stop effective March 18, 2020 when we were asked to stay home or work from home. Please support this petition to stop the BC Hydro from charging Step 2 Rate until we are allowed to go back to work.
