Animal testing does not need to be used for the benefit of beauty products. There are so many more options than animal testing that do not harm, nor risk the safety of animals. Animal testing is so normalized now, that people do not take the steps to look at what is actually happening, and how badly we are harming animals. 500,000. Animals suffer and die each year in cosmetics testing. That's 500,000 animal lives that suffer from us trying to have good beauty products. Nearly 90% of Canadians are against animal testing, so if we’re all against the testing of animals why are we doing nothing about it?

 There is so much pain that these animals go through that is constantly overlooked because people have this mindset that we are of such higher class that their pain is insignificant compared to our struggles. If you have a pet, you treat it as a family member and as a friend, we love them and feed them and care for them in every possible way, so it shouldn’t be different when it's not our pet. These animals still deserve love and care.

  Animal testing isn't even effective, only works 5% of the time, while the other 95% of the time animals are being blinded, crippled, sickened and killed completely pointlessly. If it is so harmful and ineffective, and none of us want it to continue, why not stop it?
