Canada Post has reported a loss of 153M$ in 2019 because of rising parcel delivery service competition.

COVID-19 has demonstrated Canada Post's incapacity to adapt to the rise of parcel delivery generating customer frustration and over 21 day delays in deliveries all of this while much greater volume parcel delivery companies like UPS are showing 4.9% quarterly revenue increase and still delivering on time.

Canada Post has shown its incapacity to offer reliable and on-time parcel delivery at the cost of Canadian taxpayers.

Canada Post should focus on delivering letters and envelopes to Canadians to maintain coverage specially in hard to reach rural areas.

This would be much more beneficial for Canadians as the market could fill up the gap in offering and would be a better use of taxpayer dollars.
