PA vehicle code section 4572 and title 67 chapter 173 needs to be changed. Under current law retired police cars, replica police cars, and fire police, are not allowed to have any type of LED light bar on the vehicle. Retired and replica police cars used for show and events are not allowed to have any type of emergency lights on the vehicle when driving on the road. This takes away from the authenticity and accuracy of these vehicles when all people who own these type of vehicles are trying to do is pay respect to law enforcement. This law needs to be changed to allow these type of light bars, but to be covered when not in use just like the section for off road lights. The current law does not allow any vehicle to currently have anymore than one or two rotating lights on the vehicle and that is only emergency personnel driving there personal vehicle and that does not cover LED lights. Under this law it hampers the response time of emergency personnel going to the firehouse and limits there abilities to respond to incidents faster. Please change vehicle code section 4572 and title 67 chapter 173 to allow replica and retired police cars to have lights but just covered up when driving down the road. Also change the section to allow LED lights as well as rotating lights are not even made anymore.
