Publicly Apologize for Racist Remarks

Publicly Apologize for Racist Remarks
The Issue
This week, it has come to light of two separate incidents where Justin Bieber felt it was appropriate to use the N word in a joking manner and since these two videos have surfaced Mr. Bieber and team have felt that a written statement would be a sufficient apology and what we need to tell Justin Bieber is that it is not.
What Justin Bieber and his team need to know is that the N word is the root of so much pain in African American History and he needs to acknowledge it and right this wrong We need to stand up and let JB know that we will not tolerate the fact that he feels a statement, most likely written by his publicist and a photo on Instagram is not enough.
Not only is this disrespectful to all African Americans this is even more disrespectful to the African Americans who have paved the way for Justin Bieber to be who he is today. He was discovered by recording artist Usher, sang a song by Ne-Yo, recorded songs with Ludacris and has regularly worked to mimic the style of many more!
I am tired of hearing excuses like, I was young, I have black friends, I did not know better and so on. I am tired of standing by where people can continue to degrade and show just a genuine lack of respect to us as African Americans. I am tired.
Please help me in sending a message to not only Justin Bieber but to the rest of the world that racism is not okay. A statement on E, an Instagram quote and photo are not enough, and Justin Bieber needs to know this. Enough is Enough.
Sincerely,
An African American woman who will no longer tolerate racism.
