Almost there

After 11 days of opening this petition we are almost at the goal of 1,000 supporters, only 182 more signatures are needed. Please help share this one more time somewhere, with someone. This goal can easily be reached soon to help us make a difference if you can help reach out.

I’ve had over a dozen individuals (many current or past domestic violence victims) message me with encouragement and advice for fighting this parole hearing, for everyone fighting and standing up for my sister and simply saying thank you for not giving up on behalf of all women violently hurt or killed. I’m sad that this is even a circumstance for many in our local communities and around the world. DV, dating violence and all forms of domestic abuse is a crime so preventable and curable. But here we are and thousands of women and families are affected daily. I will move forward with the intention on learning more and volunteering for individuals in harmful partnerships and providing safe leaving tactics, also about the ins and outs of parole board hearings for DV and violent murder offenders to help others petition the legal system for denying parole in these cases. I truly believe if Nicole broke up with him over the phone, or not in his presence that day, she would be here today. Victims should never have to feel alone or unheard in this struggle, as we know, it could cost them their life. 

In large part, the success of this petition couldn’t be done without all of you. Thank you for helping me on this mission. I am grateful for your action and support of Nicole. 

I have contacted the Parents of Murdered Children organization and finally found resources for parents and siblings of homicide victims- specifically sibling grief counseling and most importantly, an offender parole block program! I’ll update you on their efforts and contribution soon.
