In two weeks, our petition has exceeded over 102,000 signatures! We are extremely grateful to all of you for your support of Kayleb and his family! It has moved us tremendously to see how so many people have embraced this cause, sharing the petition and Kayleb's story all over social media! Sadly, to date we have not have a response from the governor of Virginia, but we will NOT give up! Today is the last day of April (which is Autism Acceptance/Awareness month), but we hope you will continue to lend your support to Kayleb beyond the month of April. Young students with disabilities and/or of color deserve to have their needs met - not to be treated as criminals. If we cannot protect Kayleb from the consequences of this unjust felony conviction, what hope is there for other students in need of support? We MUST make a change; please keep the momentum going! We will share some additional advocacy opportunities in the weeks to come as well. Kayleb is a remarkable young man with a close-knit, supportive family that loves him fiercely and wants the best for him; thank you for enveloping them with your love. Reading the messages of encouragement on the petition has warmed all of our hearts! Feel free to read the two latest articles about Kayleb if you'd like (the links will be listed below). And don't forget that with just one click, you can tell Governor Terry McAuliffe that Kayleb needs to be pardoned!
