incarceration, the Community requests that all members of the
Commutation Board, grant James's request to be reintegrated
back into society and or some sort of relief asap
Dear Members of the Public,
My name is James Hilton #189355, and I am currently incarcerated at Cheshire Correctional Institution in Cheshire, Connecticut.
I am asking you to hear my story, learn about my case, and stand with me and my family as we seek justice, fairness, and my freedom.
I have spent approximately 27 years of my life incarcerated, separated from my family, my loved ones, and the life I could have been living outside these prison walls. Those years cannot be returned. Every birthday, holiday, family gathering, and precious moment that passed while I was incarcerated is a moment I will never get back.
I was raised to believe in God, faith, family, love, respect, honesty, and responsibility. My faith has remained important to me throughout the many years I have been incarcerated. Prison has given me a great deal of time to reflect on my life, my decisions, the people I have hurt, and the people who have continued to love and believe in me.
I maintain that my conviction was unlawful and that there are serious issues surrounding my case that deserve to be heard and examined. I also believe that information and evidence concerning the circumstances of my conviction deserve meaningful consideration.
My family and supporters have continued to stand beside me after all these years. They have not forgotten me, and they have not stopped believing that justice should be pursued.
I am not asking the public to ignore the seriousness of what happened. I am asking people to learn the facts of my case, listen to the evidence and legal issues presented, and support my request for a fair opportunity for justice and freedom.
Why Your Signature Matters
For nearly three decades, I have lived with the consequences of my conviction and incarceration. My family has lived with them too.
A petition cannot decide a court case, and signatures do not replace the legal process. But your voice can help show that people care about fairness, due process, accountability, rehabilitation, and the possibility of a second chance.
If you believe that a person should have the opportunity to have serious questions about their conviction properly heard, please consider signing this petition and sharing it with others.
Please do not sign simply because someone asked you to. Read, learn, ask questions, and make your own decision.
If you choose to stand with me, I am asking you to:
SIGN THIS PETITION.
SHARE MY STORY.
HELP MY VOICE BE HEARD.
After approximately 27 years behind these walls, I am asking for the opportunity to return home, reunite with my family, and live the remainder of my life as a man committed to God, family, accountability, and making a positive difference.
I cannot change the years that have passed.
But I pray that the years ahead can be different.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my story, read about my case, and consider standing with me and my family in our pursuit of justice and freedom.
Furthermore, simple by donating in the sum of $10-20, directly
to James Hilton #189355; JPAY.COM.. inmates account, you'll
be helping me with the necessary fund's in order to defend my
upcoming defense strategy. Your contributions will be helping
James obtain, the law office of attorney: Kathleen T. Zellner and
Associates, who specialize in bringing home actual innocent
