My dog got killed by 5 vicious pitbulls who broke through my fence. My neighbors and I have called animal control and 911 various times over the past 3 years because of them escaping and being aggressive.. “According to Animal control” they have only been picked up 2 times which is a lie we’ve had animal control come out a couple of times. Unfortunately I am not able to press charges nor any lawyer has wanted to take my case since a DOG WHICH IS MAN’S BESTFRIEND is considered PROPERTY. This is ridiculous! He was my baby! Time for our laws to be changed. My fur baby was killed and unfortunately I cannot do anything since no human was harmed!!! I want to start this petition to change laws that our dogs/cats are considered part of our family and not property since they are living and breathing just like us and they hurt and feel like we do, and to change city ordinance that no more than 2 dogs/pitbulls per home And after the second impound owners are not able to get those dogs back to avoid someone’s loved one to get injured or killed.
