Thank you all for your support. Pre-trial is finally scheduled for May 10, 2022 at 1:30pm at Deland Courthouse, as long as there is not another continuance. We are still hoping that charges will be upgraded to Second Degree Murder which is defined as "Murder with a Depraved Mind is committed when a person is killed by an act evincing a depraved mind showing no regard for human life."  We believe this is more consistent with the tragic circumstances that resulted in our beloved 16 year old Xyrus losing his life.
