Justice for Victims of HappyFares Refund Scam – Hold Them Accountable!

Justice for Victims of HappyFares Refund Scam – Hold Them Accountable!
The Issue
I, like many others, booked flight tickets via HappyFares — a third-party travel portal — and had to cancel due to medical reasons. Both airlines (Akasa and IndiGo in my case) confirmed that full refunds were processed to HappyFares. However, despite submitting medical documents, repeated follow-ups, and even a legal notice, HappyFares continues to withhold my refund without any transparent explanation.
Their customer support changes statements frequently, blames the airlines despite proof of refund, and invents unethical internal charges to avoid paying back rightful dues. I am not alone — many travelers have reported similar experiences of confusion, delay, and outright denial.
This isn’t just about ₹22,000 — it’s about putting an end to such exploitative practices that survive because people are told: “It’s not worth the hassle.”
We demand:
An investigation by DGCA, MoCA, and Consumer Affairs into HappyFares’ refund practices
Immediate refunds to all affected customers
Transparency in deductions and refund calculations
Legal action for consumer rights violations
If you’ve faced a similar issue with HappyFares, please sign this petition and share it. Together, we can hold such platforms accountable and stop them from exploiting travelers.
