The objective of our petition is to CHANGE THE CURRENT FLORIDA LAW that views pets as personal property and not living beings. Our pets and families deserve better!

Our story: JUSTICE FOR TYSON: 
We are here to make AWARENESS that our healthy dog Tysons life was cut short in the midst of 24 hours due to negligence at two vet offices. 

Since he’s death, we have come across many families who have been through a similar experience and has lost their animal or have come close to losing their animal due to negligence at these care facilities. The name of our petition may be called Justice for Tyson, but we are fighting for justice for ALL THE PETS in Florida and families who have suffered.

For those that may not be familiar with the law - Florida State does Not recognize our pets as living beings, but just Property. That is absolutely inhumane and unfair for those thousands of families who have suffered a similar loss to their beloved animals. Animals are not property they are family, companions, and most of all our best friends who resemble everything that means Love. If you can get put to jail for animal cruelty or negligence then what’s the difference when an animal goes into these care facilities, why are they seen as property then. There’s a lot of injustice going on in this industry that must be addressed and we would like all animal lovers to stand up and fight with us for what’s right. Together we can change the laws that exist to protect these so called professional corporations who are guilty of complete negligence to help our animals. We did not bring our loved ones to your care to be put down, we came for you to show passion towards saving their lives.
