We are delighted to announce that the High Court has quashed Spurs’s planning permission. The club can no longer tear up Whitewebbs Park.
The judge agreed with our claim that the full facts about Biodiversity Net Gain for the site were not disclosed. The planning committee did not get to see criticisms that the council’s own external officer raised about the project’s biodiversity credentials, and were falsely led to believe he was supportive.

We hope that this sends a clear signal to big businesses that communities will defend their green spaces, and will stand up for the natural world.
None of this could have been achieved without the support of our whole community, including many of you who donated to our Crowd Justice appeal.
This amazing news for the park is not the end of the story for the Oak - but it is a watershed moment.
As we look forward to the months and years ahead, we intend to remain true to our petition for justice. Many questions remain unanswered, and real redress has not been made. Today is a time to enjoy this moment of relief, but we will continue what we began.
Our success in preventing the destruction of the park shows us that sustained campaigning and community solidarity do indeed pay off.
