Justice for the Kitten Tied in a Bag and Thrown From a Moving Vehicle in Pennsylvania

The Issue

On the evening of May 4, on Conewango Avenue in Glade Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, someone tied a six to eight-week-old kitten inside a black disposable bag and threw it from a moving vehicle.

The kitten survived. Pennsylvania State Police found her unharmed — and shared a photo of her resting on an officer's shoulder. She is safe. The man who did this is not.

Police are looking for a white, single-cab Chevrolet pickup truck with no registration plate and visible rust on the body, driven by a man, last seen heading north on Conewango Avenue at approximately 6:45 p.m. on May 4. Investigators are asking anyone with cameras along the avenue to review footage between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. that day.

What happened to this kitten was not an accident or a moment of negligence. Someone deliberately restrained a weeks-old animal, placed her in a bag, and discarded her from a moving vehicle. That is an act of calculated cruelty — and under Pennsylvania law, it is a crime.

Sign this petition to demand that Pennsylvania State Police and Warren County prosecutors identify and charge the suspect to the fullest extent of the law — and to send a clear message that this state will not let animal cruelty go unanswered.
