Justice for the Animals Abused in Northglenn — Demand the Maximum Penalty

The Issue

In July 2025, authorities entered a home in Northglenn, Colorado — and found a nightmare.

Over 70 animals were crammed into filthy, inhumane conditions. Two were already dead: a dog and a cat. Others were malnourished, neglected, and suffering.

Now, Patti Joslin (69) and Dakotah Joslin (32) are facing 109 animal cruelty charges — including 11 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

This isn’t hoarding. This is cruelty. And the community deserves justice.

We call on the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and Colorado courts to:

  • Pursue the maximum sentence for each felony count of aggravated cruelty under Colorado law;
  • Ensure both defendants are banned from ever owning or caring for animals again;
  • Publicly commit to fully prosecuting animal cruelty cases, not pleading them down.

Colorado law recognizes that animal cruelty is a serious crime. These animals had no voice — but we do.

Sign this petition to demand justice for the animals of Northglenn, and show prosecutors that the community expects full accountability.
