Six Year old Thabang Klaas from Masangwana in New Brighton,Gqeberha  has allegedly been murdered by his mothers ex-boyfriend.

The incident took place on the 24 July 2022, whereby it is alleged that the accused abducted the child from his grandmothers house in New Brighton to the Mathys ground near Wells Estate in Swartkops. It is further alleged that the accused strangled Thabang to death.

The body of the slain Thabang was found helplessly on a footpath in the bushes on Monday. The brutal murder of Thabang Klaas by the accused is yet another confirmation of the brutality against our women and children who are not safe in our communities.

• We demand that the accused is denied bail and remains behind bars for the duration of the trial.
• We as the community, learners as well as parents also demand that the accused receive the maximum sentence and experience the full hand of the law.
