Suga, my cherished sugar glider, was recently seized by the state of California in what I believe is a grave misunderstanding. He has been a part of my family since he was just a baby, bringing endless joy and comfort into our lives.

Sugar gliders like Suga are cherished pets worldwide, known for their friendly and social nature. Unfortunately, California’s strict exotic pet laws consider them illegal, even though these laws were created to protect public health and the animals’ well-being (source: Born Free USA). Suga, who has been raised with the utmost love and care, poses no risk to anyone. He’s always received proper veterinary care, a balanced diet, and a peaceful environment that respects his nocturnal nature.
