We, the undersigned, come together in solidarity to seek justice for Sidharth J S, a 20-year-old student at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode, whose life was tragically cut short by a heinous act of violence. We urge your immediate attention and intervention in this matter to ensure that justice is served swiftly and comprehensively.
The circumstances surrounding Sidharth's death paint a chilling picture of brutality and disregard for human life. It is evident that this is not merely a case of ragging, as portrayed by the police, but a clear instance of murder. Sidharth was subjected to merciless torture between February 14 and February 18, during which he endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of hooligans.
According to reports, Sidharth was forcibly paraded naked before approximately 130 hostel students and subjected to physical assault. This barbaric act, committed under the guise of ragging, is a grave violation of human rights and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
We demand that the perpetrators of this heinous crime, including the students involved, be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Furthermore, we call for the investigation and prosecution of all individuals complicit in this tragedy, including the Dean of the college, Assistant Dean, Hostel warden, sports faculty, and all senior staff and faculty members who supported or turned a blind eye to these atrocities.
The failure of authorities to address this matter with the seriousness it deserves is deeply concerning and undermines the principles of justice and accountability. We implore you, esteemed leaders, to take up this case directly through the Supreme Court of India and ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.
