Shawna Louise Jones left this earth unwillingly January 1, 1994. She was found near a pond after taking her kid's babysitter home the night before. She was a victim of rape and murder. Not that she didn't fight, she fought as hard as she could while being victimized, but at the end she lost her battle to this man that has yet to be charged.

The Okmulgee County DA of Okmulgee, Oklahoma is threatening to dismiss the case because "lack of evidence", which we believe to be false. We have a DNA hit on the semen, as well as plenty of other evidence that has yet to be tested, including fingernail clippings from Shawna, and plenty of people who were never interviewed or followed up with.

The man that did this to Shawna is currently in prison for other unrelated crimes,  but is about to be released on parole in the coming year. Shawna's daughter, Miracle, and the rest of the family are tired of living in fear and wants justice for Shawna.

The purpose to this Petition is to encourage the DA to hand over the case to the OSBI Cold Case division so that Shawna's case can finally be closed.
