Today I received a copy of an “investigation timeline” from Job Corps regarding the night my son, Shawn Lee Fortune (21 at time of death), died inside the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center after being there for **less than 48 hours**.
And what this timeline shows is negligence, contradictions, and a manufactured narrative that does not match the evidence, the reports, the statements, or the photos taken of my son after his death.
🔥 1. The timeline CONFIRMS they did not check on Shawn for nearly SIX HOURS.
Their own words say:
Last dorm check: 12:20 AM
Next “wake-up”: 6:00 AM
This is a direct violation of Job Corps rules.
Dorm checks are required every hour.
If they had checked on Shawn at 1 AM, 2 AM, 3 AM, 4 AM, or 5 AM, he might still be alive.
This is negligent homicide.
🔥 2. The timeline contradicts the physical evidence.
The reports and EMS notes confirm:
* Shawn’s head, arms, and upper body were already stiff (rigor mortis)
* His body was cold in central areas
* This means he likely died hours earlier than 6:04 AM
Job Corps wants us to believe he died *right before* they “found” him.
The science — and the rigidity of his body — says otherwise.
🔥 3. They staged a drug narrative HOURS after he was already dead.
The timeline claims:
> At 11:09 AM, a dollar bill was “found” containing turquoise pills.
But this was:
-Hours AFTER EMS and police left the room
-Hours AFTER the scene was contaminated
-Hours AFTER the roommate was cleared with no arrest
-Hours AFTER the detective told me he suspected fentanyl (before toxicology)
This is not chain of custody.
This is not evidence.
This is staging.
Especially when:

* Police made **no arrests**
* Job Corps staff waited HOURS to “discover” the pills
* The report contradicts itself about WHO gave Shawn a pill

* Was not checked for 6 hours
* Was found stiff and cold
* With injuries that an autopsy tried to dismiss

And they want the world to believe this was just an overdose.
But my son had:
* A -fractured nose
* A -contusion on the neck
* A -knot on his forehead
* Bruising
* Blood from the head and mouth
* Lividity patterns that contradict their time of death
None of that matches their story.
None of that matches an overdose.
🔥 5. I also received a FOIA response — but NOT the documents I asked for.
I requested insurance records — specifically, the documentation showing Shawn’s cost of care, coverage, and the financial trail that MUST exist when someone dies on federal property.
Instead of insurance documents, they sent me the Timeline that I guess is supposed to be the Ekard Connects investigation. I have a link to a portal for the insurance documents that doesnt work.
This is another pattern of avoidance, stalling, and obstruction.
And this all happened while:
* My TikTok exposing Shawn’s case was deleted
* My appeal was denied
* I was shadowbanned on multiple platforms
* Lawyers continue to turn me away because “it’s complicated”
* The government shutdown delayed release of documents
