Today, I’m breaking down the real timeline from the Pittsburgh Job Corps documents I finally received. The contradictions are outrageous, and they show exactly why my son, Shawn, did NOT die the way they’re claiming.
Here’s what the timeline shows:
Feb 25, 11:57 PM: Shawn is seen leaving the Phoenix-Summit lounge and entering his dorm room 2031. After that, he is never seen leaving the room again.
12:01–12:03 AM: His roommate leaves briefly and returns. No cameras show anyone entering Shawn’s room after that.
12:09 & 12:20 AM: RA dorm checks happen. After 12:20, no one checks the dorm again until 6:00 AM—almost six hours with no supervision.
Then at 6:04 AM, a student runs out yelling Shawn is unresponsive. The RA enters at 6:04:27 AM and claims she sees Shawn stiff with foam and blood, but also says he had a pulse. This is impossible. Medical documentation confirms rigor mortis had already set in—meaning he had been dead for hours.
Students’ statements add more contradictions:
One roommate described Shawn’s body as stiff and pulse-less, immediately comparing it to a previous overdose situation.
Another roommate said Shawn had been falling asleep repeatedly the day before because of prescribed medication that made him feel “funny”—not street drugs.
Job Corps claims he overdosed on crushed turquoise pills, but:
No pills were found in the initial morning search.
Hours later, security “finds” a folded bill in Shawn’s jacket with crushed turquoise pieces—but the roommate said the pill he saw was greenish-white, not turquoise.
Shawn had not left his room all night, so how could crushed pills appear in his jacket?
Additionally:
Shawn’s vape had been confiscated on arrival, yet students continue to mention it, seemingly building a narrative.
911 wasn’t called until 6:17 AM, even though Shawn was found at 6:04—a 13-minute delay during a medical emergency.
And critically: Shawn’s severe physical injuries—contusions, knot on his forehead, fractured nose—are completely missing from Job Corps reports. They created a medical narrative to hide physical trauma.
Finally, the FOIA documents I requested for insurance records were never properly delivered. Instead, I received a broken link and partial Job Corps reports—clearly withholding information that could show negligence or liability.
Part 1 Takeaway:
No dorm checks between 11:57 PM–6:00 AM
RA claims rigor mortis AND a pulse at the same time
Students describe Shawn being overmedicated, not on street drugs
Pills “discovered” later do not match witnesses’ descriptions
Physical trauma is completely omitted
Emergency response was delayed
This is just Part 1. Part 2 will break down witness contradictions, emails, missing FOIA records, and how all of this shows a pattern of intentional negligence.
Shawn died at the Pittsburgh Job Corps center on February 26, 2025, at 21 years old. He deserved care and protection, not lies and cover-ups.
We are demanding accountability. Please continue to follow this case and help shine a light on the truth.
