This little girl accidentally got out of her yard and owners immediately started looking for her and posted on the pet sites looking for her.  Someone found her and turned her in to the Abilene, TX city animal shelter where she was immediately put down.  Abilene, Tx has a 3 day mandatory stray hold.  Her owner went that morning to get her and told she was "out of control/feral".  NO she was a scared little dog.  If you look up stories about the City of Abilene animal shelter you will see that this is not the first case of incompetence, and sadly won't be the last until people's voices are heard and they realize we won't give up on these babies until a change is made.
